ANF Conducts Nationwide Crackdown on Narcotics Smuggling, Arrests 5 Suspects







Islamabad: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a nationwide crackdown on narcotics smuggling, arresting five suspects and seizing over 1,565 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 42 crore.
The ANF conducted seven operations across the country, including in Quetta, Islamabad, and Multan. The seized drugs include heroin, opium, charras, ice, and other narcotics.
In one operation, the ANF seized 367 kilograms of opium, 55 kilograms of charras, and 19.5 kilograms of ice from a location in Quetta. Two suspects were arrested in this operation.
In another operation, the ANF seized 180 kilograms of heroin from a location in Quetta. In Islamabad, the ANF seized 24 kilograms of opium and 48 kilograms of charras from a location near the Serena Hotel.
The ANF has registered cases against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act and has initiated investigations.
