Peshawar: Dec. 22 Today marks the 12th death anniversary of Bashir Ahmad Bilour, a prominent Pakistani politician who was assassinated in a suicide bombing on December 22, 2012. Bilour, a senior minister and member of the provincial assembly of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, was a vocal critic of terrorism and a strong advocate for peace and stability in the region.¹
In a message, Aimal Wali Khan, the central president of the Awami National Party (ANP), paid tribute to Bilour, describing him as a “symbol of bravery and service” for the Pashtun nation. Khan praised Bilour’s courageous stance against terrorism, saying his struggle against extremism is a guiding light for the party.²
