ANF Launches Crackdown on Narcotics Smuggling Across Pakistan 

Islamabad. Dec. 26: In a nationwide operation, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a crackdown on narcotics smuggling, resulting in the arrest of four suspects and the seizure of over 149.884 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs. 4 crore. The ANF conducted seven operations across different cities, including Peshawar, Islamabad, Karachi, and Quetta. Some notable seizures include: – Peshawar International Airport: 30 heroin-filled capsules were recovered from a passenger traveling to Jeddah. – Islamabad: 31 intoxicating tablets were seized from a parcel near a park, and the suspect was arrested. – Karachi: 150 grams of ice were recovered from a parcel being sent to Australia via courier. – Quetta: 90 kilograms of opium and 10 kilograms of heroin were seized in the Chaghi district. – Balochistan: 45 kilograms of charas were recovered from a coastal area in Pasni. – Hyderabad: 3 kilograms of charas were seized from a suspect. – Attock: 1 kilogram of heroin and 500 grams of ice were recovered from a motorcycle rider near the Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza. The ANF has registered cases against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act and has initiated investigations.
