CM vows to devise strategy of development of province & welfare of masses together with NGOs
QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has vowed to devise strategy of development of the province and welfare of masses.
The Chief Minister said that the government and non-governmental organizations have their own way of working.
The Chief Minister was addressing the NGOs conference held under the auspices of Social Welfare Department, Government of Balochistan, here at a local hotel on Thursday.
The theme of conference was: role of civil society in development of Balochistan.
The conference was participated by Provincial Ministers, Advisors, parliamentary secretaries, parliamentarians, representatives of the civil society, dignitaries from different walks of life.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister maintained that the political pressure is taken in negative way in the society.
He said that we are going to start the project of partnership of welfare under the public-private partnership.
He said that corruption has become a menace, we can’t eradicate it at once, and as such we are taking steps in this regard.
He said that at the time, when we started recruitment in the Education Department, the candidates brought fake degrees for the marks.
The Chief Minister stressed that it is duty of every individual to stop corrupt practices in the society.
He announced to hold the NGOs conference every year for promotion of the mutual cooperation.
He said that majority of the non governmental organizations have the specific objectives. We would surely encourage the good institutions while discourage the wrong ones.
He said that while the government can’t give jobs to all, but we would provide interest free loans to the educated youth together with the Akhuwat Foundation.
He said that we would interest free loan to the people, they should come with their project.
He on the occasion stressed that every individual has to condemn and discourage terrorism in the society.
He said that we are offering Benazir Bhutto Scholarships to the students of Balochistan.
Besides, the government would bear the expenses of education of the civil martyrs for 16 years.
He said that the scholarship programme has been introduced for the transgenders and minorities.
While on the other hand, we are mobilizing and activating the departments, he added.
