Balochistan Governor Vows to Empower Public Sector Universities
Quetta, Dec. 27, Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has reiterated his commitment to empowering all public sector universities in the province. He emphasized that teachers are the backbone of the entire educational system and that their timely salaries are crucial for the system’s stability.¹
The governor acknowledged that some public sector universities in Balochistan have been facing financial difficulties, resulting in delayed salaries and affecting the dignity of professors and employees. However, he assured that concrete steps are being taken to address these financial challenges.
Mandokhail expressed his determination to find a sustainable solution to the issue of timely salary payments for teachers. He also stressed the importance of devising a comprehensive strategy to resolve the financial, administrative, and academic issues faced by public sector universities in the province.²
The governor’s remarks came during a meeting with Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Minister for Communications and Works Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa, and Member of the Provincial Assembly Zark Khan Mandokhail at the Governor’s House in Quetta.
