Food Authority Cracks Down on Expired Products in Islamabad
Islamabad’s Food Authority has taken swift action against a distribution point in Coral Town found to be altering expiration dates on expired products. The raid, led by Deputy Director Dr. Tahira Siddique, resulted in the seizure and disposal of over 5,000 kilograms of expired inventory.
A large quantity of expired products was confiscated during the operation, and the distribution center was sealed by the Food Authority team. A case has also been registered against the perpetrators for tampering with expiration dates.
Dr. Tahira Siddique emphasized that suppliers and sellers of expired products are enemies of humanity, and the Food Authority will not tolerate such practices in the federal capital. The authority is committed to protecting citizens’ lives and preventing exploitation for profit.
