Quetta, Dec 30: The Balochistan government has imposed a ban on public gatherings, rallies, and firearm displays across the province under Section 144. The ban, effective immediately, will remain in place for a month.
The government’s decision aims to maintain public order and safety, prohibiting the gathering of five or more individuals, public rallies, and processions. Additionally, the display of firearms has been strictly prohibited.
This move comes amidst security concerns, including a recent threat alert regarding a potential female suicide bomber in Quetta.¹ The government has emphasized the need for these restrictions to ensure public safety and prevent any untoward incidents.
