Islamabad, Dec.i 31, The Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) released its annual performance report for 2024, highlighting significant actions taken against unhealthy and unauthorized food businesses.

Key achievements include:
– Seizure of 161,848kg of unhealthy food
– Imposition of Rs20 million in fines
– 15,798 total operations conducted throughout the year
– Registration of 15 FIRs against violators
– Sealing of 311 business centers
– Issuance of 7,470 improvement notices to various traders
– Issuance of 1,800 new licenses
– Imposition of heavy fines on 1,213 business centers for non-compliance
