Islamabad Food Authority Cracks Down on Sweet Production Unit
Islamabad: The Islamabad Food Authority conducted a raid on a sweet production unit located in sector G-6, marking a significant crackdown on unhygienic food production in the federal capital.
The production unit, which supplied sweets to various shops across the city, was found to be using unhealthy ingredients in the manufacturing process. Moreover, the authority also noted inadequate sanitation arrangements at the unit.
The Islamabad Food Authority has initiated an inspection drive across the city’s sweet shops to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
“Citizens should immediately report any substandard sanitation practices to the Food Authority,” said Deputy Director Operations, Dr. Tahira Siddique.
