Islamabad Police Unveil New Crime-Fighting Strategy for 2025
Islamabad, January 6, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has unveiled a new crime-fighting strategy for 2025, emphasizing the need for a crackdown on professional criminals and notorious offenders.
In a meeting with all Station House Officers (SHOs) at the Central Police Office, IGP Rizvi directed the officers to launch a vigorous crackdown on criminal elements and to hold open courts three times a week to address public complaints. He also ordered senior police officers to review the performance records of all SHOs and their behavior towards citizens.¹
IGP Rizvi stressed that officers with good service records and impressive performance will be rewarded with postings at police stations. The new strategy aims to improve the overall law and order situation in Islamabad and to provide better services to citizens.
