Winter Chill to Intensify Across Pakistan from January 7-11

Islamabad, Jan. 6: A severe cold wave is expected to grip Pakistan from January 7 to 11, with temperatures plummeting to as low as -16°C in northern areas.

According to weather forecasts, a strong winter system will bring heavy rain, hail, and thunderstorms to Punjab, including Lahore, on January 11. The entire country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy weather, with scattered rain showers.

The mercury is expected to drop to 4°C to -3°C in various cities, while the hill stations of Murree, Nathia Gali, and Ayubia will see temperatures ranging from -4°C to -6°C.

The extreme northern areas will experience the coldest temperatures, ranging from -11°C to -16°C. The cold wave is expected to intensify, bringing frost, fog, and mist to various parts of the country.
