ANF Launches Crackdown on Drug Trafficking, Arrests 7 Suspects
In a nationwide crackdown on drug trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted eight operations, resulting in the arrest of seven suspects and the seizure of over 65.928 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs. 1 crore.
The operations were carried out in various cities, including Islamabad, where ANF officials recovered 1.4 kilograms of charas near a bus stop and 30 ecstasy pills from two suspects in Bahria Town. The arrested suspects confessed to selling drugs to students in educational institutions.
Other notable seizures included:
– Islamabad: 112 grams of ice recovered from a parcel being sent to Maldives via courier service, 3.6 kilograms of opium and 48 kilograms of charas recovered from F/17 society.
– Gwadar, Balochistan: 6 kilograms of ice recovered from a suspect.
– M2 Islamabad: 2 kilograms of heroin recovered from a hidden compartment in a car, suspect arrested.
– Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza, Attock: 1.8 kilograms of charas recovered from a motorcycle, suspect arrested.
– Baleli, Quetta: 3 kilograms of ice recovered from hidden compartments in a car.
