Awami National Party Announces Schedule for Bacha Khan’s 37th and Wali Khan’s 19th Death Anniversaries
The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced a schedule of events to commemorate the 37th death anniversary of Bacha Khan and the 19th death anniversary of Wali Khan. The events will kick off on January 20 with an inaugural ceremony at the Bacha Khan Markaz in Peshawar.
According to Provincial General Secretary Hussain Shah Yousafzai, the ceremony will begin at 11 am, with Central President Aimal Wali Khan as the chief guest. The event will feature a salute by the Nangiala Pukhtoon, and will be attended by Provincial President Mian Iftikhar Hussain and other central and provincial leaders.
The ceremony will also include the launch of new books published by the Bacha Khan Research Center, as well as stalls showcasing art, books, local products, and more. A poetry recitation session (mushaira) has also been organized, featuring renowned poets.
From January 21 to February 19, rallies will be held in various districts across the province to commemorate the death anniversaries of Bacha Khan and Wali Khan.
