Assistant Commissioner Leads Price Control Crackdown in Chaman
Chaman, Jan. 10, Assistant Commissioner City, Muhammad Afzal, accompanied by the Levies Force, conducted a surprise inspection of various markets in Chaman, including bakeries, general stores, and food shops. During the visit, Afzal scrutinized the prices of essential commodities and checked the weight of bread packets.
Afzal sternly warned shopkeepers to adhere to the official price list and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cautioning that non-compliance would result in strict legal action. The inspection also focused on the quality and hygiene standards of food items in several shops, with fines imposed on some establishments for violating regulations.
This crackdown aims to protect consumers from price gouging and ensure that businesses operate in compliance with government regulations.
