Bodies of four coal mine workers retrieved as rescue operation continues in Sanjdi

QUETTA: The dead bodies of four coal mine workers were retrieved by the rescue teams engaged in rescue operation in the affected coal mine located in Sanjdi coalfield on Friday.
The rescue operation remained continued by the rescue teams of the Provincial Mines and Mineral Development and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in the coal mine which was collapsed in Sanjdi coalfield on Thursday night.
It may be mentioned here that in all 12 coal mine workers were trapped in the coal mine of Sanjdi because of the lethal blast there.
Soon after the mishap, the rescue operation was started, however, the coal mine workers trapped in the affected coal mine couldn’t be retrieved alive.
However, bodies of four were retrieved till ours going to the press.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Minister for Mines and Mineral Development, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani said that the rescue operation is continued for the colliers trapped in the Sanjdi area.
He said that while bodies of four workers were retrieved from the coal mine, but still eight workers are trapped there.
According to the Provincial Minister, the rescue operation is being monitored by the Chief Mines Inspector and efforts are continued to rescue the remaining workers from the coal mine.
