Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toru has stated that the digitalization of various operations of the Food Department is in its final stages, with formal inauguration expected soon. He made these remarks while chairing a progress review meeting on ongoing digitalization projects of the department, last day.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Food Saqib Raza Aslam, Additional Secretary Ashfaq Ahmad, Director Food Musarrat Zaman, Managing Director of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IT Board, and other senior officials. During the session, the minister was briefed on the completion of technical work on the inspection/price control system, supply chain management system, and integration of the digital payment gateway. This transformation, he said, will ensure transparency and eliminate corruption.

The minister directed officials to finalize all projects within the given timeline and warned against any delays. He urged the department to expedite efforts with a focus on public welfare so that these initiatives could soon benefit the citizens.
