Legal action to be initiated against coal mine company in Sinjdi: Chief Mines Inspector
QUETTA: The Mines and Mineral Development Department has decided to take legal action against the concerned coal mine company in the mishap of coal mine located in Sinjdi.
According to the Chief Mines Inspector, Abdul Ghani, the case would be registered against the owner company whom coal mine caved in Sinjdi on Wednesday last.
An official letter has been dispatched to the concerned district administration for registration of FIR against the company for alleged negligence and lack of desired safety measures, which otherwise caused mishap of the methane gas explosion in the coal mine. It may be mentioned here that 12 coal mine workers were trapped in the coal mine after the blast took place there on Wednesday night.
The rescue operation was started for rescuing the coal mine workers from the affected coal mine. However, bodies of four were retrieved from the debris of coal mine.
According to the Chief Mines Inspector Abdul Ghani, FIR would be registered against the concerned company.
A similar mishap had also been occurred in the coal mine of the same company last year, which had claimed lives of 11 coal mine workers.
An FIR had also been lodged against the company then, the Chief Mines Inspector recalled.
