Stern action to be taken on lack of safety measures in coal mines, warns Shoaib Nosherwani

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Mines & Mineral Development and Finance, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani has warned that stern action would be taken against the coal mine companies and owners in lack of safety measures in their mines.
In an official statement issued here on Saturday, the Provincial Minister particularly referred the incident of gas explosion in a coal mine in Sinjdi area, and assured that those responsible for the incident would be taken to task.
He said that it is our top priority to protect the coal mine workers in the province.
The Minister also said that we are working on new strategy for ensuring safety measures in the coal mines of province.
It may be mentioned here that 12 coal mine workers were trapped in a coal mine due to gas explosion in a coal mine of a private company in Sinjdi coalfield.
