QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stressed the need to take advantage of the political vision and experiences of each other to expedite pace of development and monitoring of the federal government institutions in our respective provinces.
The Governor said that we all are part of a bigger framework, which requires joint endeavours for advancing economic revolution of Pakistan. We should acknowledge that the role of Governors is outside of our provinces too. Right from the Prime Minister to Chief Ministers, all of us are guardians of future of our nation.
These and similar other views were expressed by the Governor Mandokhail while addressing the closing session of the first All Pakistan Governors’ Summit at the Governor House, Karachi on Sunday.
Needless to mention here is that present on the occasion were Governor Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhaw, Faisal Karim Kundi and Governor Gilgit Baltistan.
The Governor Sindh presided over the Governors Summit.
Addressing the summit, Governor maintained that we have gathered in the historic Governors’ Summit with the resolve to sustainable development and prosperity of Pakistan. He said that being Governor, we take responsibility of steering the provinces out of complexities of the challenges being faced by our provinces.
He stressed that every Governor should play wholehearted role as an important representative of the federation in one’s province, and if there’s any issue, he can resolve easily taking it up with the Prime Minister.
As we move ahead, it is necessary for us to take benefit of our political vision and experiences of each other for monitoring the performance of federal institutions and expediting the pace of development in our provinces, adding the stressed further.
The Governor Mandokhail said that this summit of Governors pinpoints an important moment of the history of our nation because we develop a united path for moving ahead.
He said that at end of the historic summit, we would present our joint recommendations to the President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif under spirit of mutual cooperation while exhibiting the sketch of our vision for combined bright future.
He also said that this important summit describes our resolve to work together for making of prosperous future besides our devotion for development and stability of Pakistan.
