MIRPUR MATHELO (By Tanveer Ahmed Soomro): In Ghotki district, 4 lakh 70 thousand children will be administered polio drops during the polio campaign from February 3 to 9, all the arrangements have been completed. Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Dr Syed Muhammad Ali chaired the meeting, assistant commissioners, DEO Dr. Rao Aftab and related officers including medical officers participated.
According to the details, a meeting was held to review the arrangements in connection with the polio campaign under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali. Speaking during the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the polio virus has spread dangerously, 20 polio cases were registered in Sindh last year, which means the presence of the virus, so we all need to be vigilant in the year 2025. Needed so that no child misses the drops. He appealed to the parents and civil society and said that during the campaign they should fully cooperate with the polio teams so that all the children are safe from the virus. On this occasion, he directed the District Health officer to provide all the polio workers with complete facilities so that they do not face any kind of difficulty in the field while taking action against the negligent employees during the campaign. Go and be encouraged to do better. Earlier, N-Stop Officer Dr. Zaheer Domki, while giving a briefing, said that 4 lakh 77 thousand 972 children of the entire district will be given polio shots during the campaign from 3 to 9 February and all the arrangements have been completed in this regard. Dr. Niaz of WHO and Dr. Rahim Gadani of UNICEF also participated in the meeting.
