Balochistan Food Authority Releases 2024 Performance Report

Quetta, Jan. 14: The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has released its 2024 performance report, highlighting the authority’s efforts to ensure safe and quality food supply in the province.

According to the report, the BFA inspected 19,436 food establishments and seized significant quantities of substandard and adulterated food products. The authority also imposed fines of over Rs. 43.55 million on 3,033 establishments found violating food safety regulations.

The report also highlighted the authority’s efforts to raise awareness about food safety and hygiene practices among food handlers and the general public. The BFA organized seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns to educate people about the importance of safe food handling and consumption.

Director General BFA, Atiqullah Khan, stated that the authority’s scope of work is expanding with each passing year. He emphasized that the BFA is committed to ensuring safe food supply from farm to table, and that awareness campaigns are a key part of their efforts to promote food safety and hygiene practices in the province.
