Chaman Witnesses Significant Improvement in Polio Campaign
Chaman, Jan 14, A review meeting of the polio post-campaign was held under the chairmanship of DC Chaman Habib Ahmed Bangulzai. The meeting assessed the performance of the December 2024 campaign, which showed remarkable progress.
Out of 18 low-performing Union Councils (UCs), 11 have been upgraded, and 9 lots were taken. Only one UC remained intermediate, while the remaining UCs passed the Lot Quality Assurance (LQA) sampling.
The meeting emphasized the need for rigorous preparation and special attention to low-performing UCs in the upcoming campaign. A single-point strategy and strict monitoring mechanism will be implemented to cover missed and refusal children. The campaign achieved a remarkable 97% coverage.
The meeting’s outcome reflects the district’s commitment to eradicating polio and improving public health.
