Gwadar Water Desalination Plant: Key Stakeholders Meet to Discuss Operations
Gwadar, Jan. 14, : A crucial meeting was held among Gwadar Port Authority, Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), Public Health Engineering, and K-Electric to discuss the management of the Chinese-installed desalination water plant. The meeting focused on operational costs, electricity expenses, manpower, technical issues, and other matters.
Participants sought proposals from relevant departments to determine which institution is capable of effectively operating the plant. All stakeholders shared their opinions and potential solutions to activate the project efficiently. The desalination plant has the capacity to provide 1.2 million gallons of water daily, a vital milestone in meeting Gwadar’s water needs. The meeting concluded with all institutions agreeing to collaborate on a final decision regarding the plant’s operations.
