Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Launches Interest-Free Loans for Youth Under Ehsaas Nojawan Program

Peshawar, Jan 14, In a significant move to empower and provide employment opportunities to its youth, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has initiated the distribution of interest-free loans under the Ehsaas Nojawan Program. A ceremony to distribute loan cheques was held at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar, with Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur as the chief guest.

Provincial cabinet members, including Syed Fakhar Jahan, Brigadier (Retd) Muhammad Sajjad, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, and Muzammil Aslam, attended the event along with officials from the Department of Youth Affairs and selected beneficiaries of the program.

The Ehsaas Nojawan Program aims to economically empower the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by providing them with interest-free loans, promoting entrepreneurship, and creating employment opportunities. The program is a flagship initiative under the umbrella of Ehsaas Initiatives of the provincial government ¹.

Eligible youth can apply for loans ranging from PKR 1 to 5 million, with flexible repayment terms and no interest charges. The program also provides training and mentorship in business and financial management, helping young entrepreneurs build lasting skills and business empires ¹.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated PKR 3 billion for the program, which will benefit young people aged 18-35 years. The program prioritizes marginalized groups, including women, minorities, and the disabled, to ensure equitable access to resources and support ¹.
