Balochistan Flood Victims Receive Newly Built Homes
Quetta, January 15, 2025: In a significant move to support flood-affected communities, 250 newly constructed homes have been handed over to victims in five cities of Balochistan, including Quetta City, Pishin, Qilla Saifullah, and Sohbatpur.
The homes were built in collaboration with the Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust, a non-governmental welfare organization. Chief Minister Mir Safaraz Bugti attended the ceremony, where keys to the new homes were distributed among the flood victims.
Bugti emphasized that providing assistance to flood victims is a selfless service to humanity. He praised organizations like the Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust, saying they bring hope to the people. The Chief Minister assured that the provincial government would provide full support and encouragement to such organizations.
Bugti also expressed concern over the slow pace of the federal government’s rehabilitation plan for flood-affected areas in Balochistan. He urged Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to inquire about the progress of the rehabilitation plan during their meetings. Independent Report.
