Azad Kashmir Launches Anti-Polio Drive in Bhimber District
Bhimber, Jan. 16, The Bhimber district administration has finalized arrangements for an anti-polio drive, scheduled to take place from February 3 to 7. The campaign aims to maintain Azad Kashmir’s polio-free status.
Deputy Commissioner Mirza Arshad Mahmood Jarral chaired a meeting where officials from various departments, including DHO Dr. Aram Batool, MS Dr. Muhammad Mansoor, and DSP Khawaja Abdul Qayyum, provided briefings on the campaign’s strategy.
To ensure the success of the drive, the district administration will deploy police and traffic police personnel on internal and external routes. Scholars will disseminate messages to the public through mosques, while the police and health departments will designate focal persons. All government and private educational institutions will participate in the campaign, and individuals traveling abroad will be required to obtain polio-free certificates.
