“Empty Treasury for the Public, Full for Their Own!”

Abdul Ghafoor Sarohi

For years, the people of Sindh have been told: “The government has no funds for jobs!”
Thousands of educated youth, who passed exams and qualified for jobs on merit, are still waiting for their offer letters. When they raise their voices, they are told: “There are no jobs – go sell snacks!”

But when it comes to politicians’ close allies, their children, and party leaders, the treasury magically fills up!

The Latest Reality:

The Sindh government, which repeatedly claimed “We can’t hire due to lack of resources,” has suddenly appointed 12 special assistants linked to the ruling party! These appointees will receive:

✅ High salaries
✅ Perks and privileges
✅ Official vehicles
✅ Offices and allowances
✅ Other government benefits

The Big Question:

If the treasury is empty for common youth, how is it full for these appointments?

Thousands of deserving candidates are waiting for jobs, but doors are wide open for the chosen few – is this justice?

Do Sindh’s unemployed youth also have a right to jobs, or are they reserved only for government insiders?

“Jobs for Insiders, Deprivation for the Public!”

It’s nothing new for Sindh’s people that political loyalty takes priority over merit for key positions. But now, even regular government jobs are being distributed the same way!

💢 Thousands of Sindhi youth passed exams – why aren’t they being hired?
💢 No jobs for the common people, but special posts for political figures?
💢 Are these appointments for public service or to benefit party loyalists?

“Benefits for Retired Bureaucrats, But an Empty Treasury for the People?”

It’s not just unfair to young job seekers—retired officials are being reappointed as ombudsmen, chairpersons, and special advisors in various departments!

❓ Are there no qualified young professionals more deserving of these roles?
❓ The treasury is “empty” for pensions, but always full for elite appointees?
❓ Is political loyalty more important than merit now?

“Federal Government and Accountability Bodies Silent – Is Justice Selective?”

While federal agencies claim to fight corruption, they stay silent when such political appointments take place.

❓ Is accountability only for the common people?
❓ Can authorities explain why thousands of qualified youth remain unemployed?
❓ Will NAB, the judiciary, or other institutions take notice?

“5 Urgent Steps for Transparency”

If the Sindh government truly believes in fairness, it must take these immediate actions:

1. Make public the CVs and qualifications of appointed individuals.
2. Announce a clear policy for hiring thousands of waiting candidates.
3. Stop reappointing retired officials, as it burdens public funds.
4. Enforce strict merit-based hiring in Sindh.
5. Accountability bodies must investigate why the treasury is “empty” for the public but full for insiders.

“The Public’s Patience Is Running Out!”

The people of Sindh demand answers:

⚠  Jobs are closed for the public but open for the privileged – is this fair?
⚠  If the treasury is empty, how are new posts being created for elites?
⚠  Who will safeguard the future of thousands of educated, unemployed youth?

“This Exploitative System Must End!”

  • The future of Sindh’s youth cannot be left at the mercy of a few powerful individuals!
  • Governments exist to serve the people, not to reward their own!
  • History will remember those who stood for justice—and those who stole the people’s rights!
