Senior Politician and Former Federal Minister Syed Muhammad Asghar Shah Passes Away

Bahawalnagar: Syed Muhammad Asghar Shah, a veteran parliamentarian and former federal minister, passed away on January 15, 2025, after a prolonged illness. Known for his principled politics and embodiment of kindness and humility, Shah was born on November 10, 1949.He was elected to the National Assembly three times and also served as the Minister of State.Throughout his political career Asghar Shah prioritized selfless public service and remained committed to the development of his constituency. Despite suffering from heart and kidney ailments, he continued to work tirelessly for the progress of his region.

His funeral prayer will be held today, Thursday, at 2:30 PM in his native village, Syed Ali. His passing marks the end of an era of compassionate and dedicated leadership.
