Sir Syed University organized the Job Fair 2025

KARACHI, January 16– The Centre for Guidance Career Planning & Placement of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) organized Job Fair 2025 at the campus in which more than 100 renowned companies participated and set up their stalls to facilitate students in terms of sharing information and preparing them for availing the job opportunities. The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor SSUET, Dr. Munawar Hussain, Registrar Cdre. (r) Syed Sarfraz Ali, Convenor Aligarh Institute of Technology, Engr. Muhammad Arshad Khan, President Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), Junaid Naqi, Vice President Tariq Hussain (KATI), former Vice President Maheen Salman (KATI), President Pakistan Business Group Nasir Ali Shaikh, Hiba Khan (Pakistan Business Group), Advisor Management of Lucky Textile, Hassan Paracha, Vice President PAPA, Shuja ul Haq, Salman (KATI), Javed Malik (KATI), Dean Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aamir, Dean Faculty of Civil Engineering & Architecture, Prof. Dr. Mir Shabbar Ali, Dean Faculty of Computing & Applied Science, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif, Convenor Guidance Centre, Siraj Khilji, officials of Pakistan Engineering Council and Higher Education Commission, Chairman Computer Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Industry-Linkages Officer Kafeel ul Rehman including a large number of students, faculty, KATI members and others.
President KATI, Junaid Naqi inaugurated the Job Fair by cutting the ribbon.
President KATI, Junaid Naqi said that if a company does not hire you, try for an internship. Connect to the industry and get familiar with corporate culture anyway. It will help you in skill development. Universities should educate students according to the industry’s demand.
On the auspicious occasion, Vice Chancellor SSUET, Dr. Munawar Hussain, said that Career fairs provide students with the chance to meet employers face-to-face, learn about current vacancies and opportunities available, and market themselves to prospective employers. A job fair is also an opportunity for a company to promote its name and brand to more people and to network with other employers.
Former Vice President KATI, Mahin Sulman, said that it is a good sign that we have enthusiastic youth who can bring tremendous change in the industry with innovative ideas and knowledge-based skills. This forum provides the industry with relevant talent.
Registrar SSUET, Cdre. (r) Syed Sarfraz Ali said that new avenues are emerging. Students today have more opportunities than ever before. Technology is changing rapidly. A job fair serves as a public relations agency for any company, offering on-spot jobs.
Dean, Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aamir said that this event would play an important role in the career of students. On this occasion, students also come up with new ideas for their unique projects. The job fair is an excellent idea to provide internships and employment to students.
Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering & Architecture, Prof. Dr. Mir Shabbar Ali said that unless academia is connected with the industry, the pace of development would not be fast. Dean, Faculty of Computing and Applied Science, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif said that the job fair offers students an opportunity to connect with the industry meet the top executives of industrial organizations, and get jobs. It provides useful career advice and guidance.
