Balochistan needs assistance & guidance of developed countries, Intl. organizations for dev. of infrastructure, stresses Governor

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has emphasized that the scattered population of Balochistan needs assistance and guidance of the developed countries and international organizations to strengthen its infrastructure helping it to cope with the challenges of provision of basic facilities.
The Governor said that we can get positive results for long term by paying wholehearted attention on the importance of quality education and scholarships.
The Governor was speaking during his visit to the US Consulate in Karachi on Friday.
Upon his arrival in the Consulate, the US Consul General, Mr. Scott Urbom along with his team warmly welcomed the Governor Mandokhail.
During the course of meeting, matters of mutual interests including Pak-US relations and political scenario of the region were discussed.
Also accompanied with the Governor were the political advisor, Shehryar Khan Mandokhail, prominent businessman, Kamal Nasir Mandokhail and Wali Khan Mandokhail.
The Governor expressed solidarity with the US Consul General over the devastating fire hit Los Angles. He termed the loss of human lives as well as forests and wildlife as a tragedy for the whole humanity.
He on the occasion also highlighted the potential of Balochistan in natural resources and minerals.
He said that the natural resources and minerals provide profitable opportunities for the American investors and business professionals.
He termed promotion of pleasant relations with the international partners very important. He said that we are continuing the process of development and advancement in Balochistan.
Referring the law and order situation in the province, Governor Balochistan shares long border with Afghanistan and Iran. However, the law and order situation has significantly been improved than before, he added.
