Governor Balochistan Meets US Consul General, Discusses Development and Security
Karachi, January 17: Governor Balochistan, Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali’s successor, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, met with US Consul General, Mr. Scott Urbom, at the US Consulate in Karachi. The meeting focused on strengthening infrastructure in Balochistan, promoting education and scholarship for youth, and fostering positive relations between Pakistan and the US.
Governor Mandokhail emphasized the need for international cooperation to address the challenges of providing basic amenities to Balochistan’s scattered population. He also highlighted the importance of quality education and scholarships for the youth, which can yield positive results in the long run.
The meeting also discussed Pakistan-US relations, regional politics, and mutual interests. Political Advisor Shahryar Khan Mandokhail, renowned businessman Kamal Naser Mandokhail, and Wali Khan Mandokhail accompanied the Governor.
Governor Mandokhail expressed solidarity with the US Consul General over the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, terming the loss of human lives, forests, and wildlife as a tragedy for humanity. He also showcased Balochistan’s potential as a hub for natural resources and minerals, offering lucrative opportunities for American investors and business professionals.
