Sports Department Organizes Girls’ Tournament in Larkana

LARKANA : On the special instructions of Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar and Secretary Abdul Aleem Lashari, Sports and Youth Affairs Department under the supervision of Muhammad Mahfooz Makni organized a girls’ throwball tournament at Khuhra Complex located in Sachal Colony of Larkana city. Teams from SZEBST College Larkana, Sachal Public School, and IB School participated in it. After a tough competition in the games, the final match was held between the team of Sachal Public school and the team of SZEBST College. The team of Zebst College Larkana defeated the team of Sachal Public School by a score of 2.1 and won the final tournament match. On this occasion, the special guest Regional Director Ombudsman Larkana Ali Akbar Jagirani and District Sports Officer Muhammad Mahfooz Makni distributed trophies and cash prizes among the players of the winner and runner-up teams. Congratulations, Abdul Bari and Zahid Ali Gadehi performed the duties of umpires in the final match. Addressing the ceremony held on this occasion, Regional Director Ombudsman Larkana Ali Akbar Jagirani said that the girls of Larkana are in no way inferior to the boys who have demonstrated their skills by participating in sports in a full manner and have distinguished themselves. He added that it is a good idea to hold girls’ games along with boys’ games. It is hoped that the girls will showcase their skills in other sports including the throw ball tournament with the same enthusiasm and bring glory to their country, nation, parents, city and institution at the national level. On this occasion, the guests of honor were Senior Director, Secretary General Olympics Association Larkana Shafqat Hussain Makni, Director Sports Government Girls Degree College Larkana Anila Abro, Director Sports BNB Girls College Larkana Mona Makni, Aqeel Ahmed Larik and a large number of players and players participated and appreciated the players.
