Assistant Commissioner Chaman Conducts Surprise Inspections of Markets

Chaman, Jan. 19: Assistant Commissioner Chaman, Muhammad Afzal, accompanied by Levies Force personnel, conducted surprise inspections of various markets in the city to check food prices, cleanliness, and expired products.

During the inspection, Afzal visited 15 shops, including bakeries and general stores, to verify the weight of bread, prices of food items, quality, and expiration dates. He also issued warnings to business establishments regarding cleanliness arrangements.

Shopkeepers found violating official price lists and engaging in overpricing were strictly warned. Afzal emphasized that prompt resolution of public complaints is the top priority. He stated that the inspection drive aims to provide citizens with safe and quality products.

Afzal warned that strict action will be taken against those failing to comply with SOPs and official price lists, and that no leniency will be shown in this regard. Daily inspections will continue in the city.
