Levies Force Conducts Operation Against Poppy Cultivation in Kohlu
Kohlu, Jan. 19: On the special instructions of Deputy Commissioner Kohlu, Aqil Baloch, the Levies Force, led by Risaldar Major Sher Muhammad Mari, conducted an operation against poppy cultivation in the Puzah area of Kohlu. The operation resulted in the destruction of 200 acres of poppy crops and the arrest of 55 Afghan nationals.
The Levies Force also seized 75 solar panels, 12 motorcycles, 13 water pumps, millions of rupees in Pakistani and Afghan currency, and 24 smart phones. Risaldar Major Sher Muhammad Mari stated that the operation was carried out in response to information about poppy cultivation in the area. The district administration is committed to a zero-tolerance policy against narcotics and is determined to eradicate the menace completely.
