Anti-Narcotics Force Cracks Down on Smuggling: 3 Arrested, 123.576 kg Narcotics Seized

Islamabad, Jan. 20: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a nationwide crackdown on narcotics smuggling, arresting three suspects and seizing over 123.576 kg of narcotics worth more than Rs. 1 crore in seven operations across the country.

The operations were carried out in various cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, and Islamabad. In Karachi, ANF seized 320 grams of opium from two parcels being sent to Italy and Spain through a courier service. Another operation in Karachi’s Natha Khan Pul area resulted in the seizure of 60 kg of charas hidden in machines being transported from Peshawar.

In Lahore, ANF raided a house near Nankana Sahib and seized 10.8 kg of opium and 22.8 kg of charas, arresting one suspect. Other operations in Quetta, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi resulted in the seizure of additional narcotics, including 28 kg of charas in Quetta and 316 grams of charas in Rawalpindi.

The ANF has registered cases against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act and has initiated investigations.
