Mardan: January 20, Member of National Assembly Mujahid Khan has said that paying Zakat is the purification of wealth. The wealthy class of the country should pay Zakat regularly from their wealth so that it is easier for the downtrodden classes of the society to live a better life. He expressed these views while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the Chairman of the District Ushr and Zakat Committee, here on Monday .Malik Jahanzeb, and other officials. On this occasion, the Provincial Chairman of the Ushr and Zakat Committee, Imtiaz Khan, administered the oath of office to the newly elected chairman and members. The ceremony was also addressed by MPA Iftikhar Ali Mashwani, Acting Deputy Commissioner Saeedullah Jan, Chairman of the WSSCM Board Engineer Adil Nawaz, Maulana Muhammad Israel and others. Mujahid Khan said that the provincial government of the Tehreek-e-Insaf is trying to provide maximum facilities to the poor. The schemes that Imran Khan had started for the poor as the Prime Minister have been closed by the current federal government, due to which The lives of the poor have become more difficult. He said that Zakat is the backbone of society and all the wealthy people of the society should pay Zakat on their wealth regularly so that our society can develop. In his address at the ceremony, the newly elected Chairman Malik Jahanzeb announced that he would pay the office expenses from his own pocket and said that he would not hesitate to make any sacrifice to deliver Zakat to the deserving people. He said that no interference in the list of Zakat beneficiaries would be tolerated. He said that the doors of his office are open to everyone at all times.
