NAB Launches Investigation into Bahria Town Owner Malik Riaz

Islamabad, Jan. 21: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated an inquiry into allegations of fraud, deceptive practices, and cheating against Malik Riaz, owner of Bahria Town (Pvt.) Ltd. ¹

According to a press release issued by NAB, the investigation focuses on Riaz’s alleged illegal possession and occupation of state-owned land and private properties in Karachi, Takht-Parri, Rawalpindi, and New Murree. NAB claims to have credible information that Riaz has been using these lands to develop housing societies without obtaining mandatory approvals.

The anti-corruption agency is mandated to keep the public informed about deceptive marketing practices by illegal housing societies, which have been scamming the public and accumulating billions of rupees.

This development comes as NAB continues its efforts to combat corruption and economic terrorism in Pakistan. The agency has been actively pursuing high-profile cases, recovering billions of rupees, and holding accountable those responsible for corruption and deceit.
