Child Abuse Scandal at Alamabad Orphanage Leads to Swift Action

Swabi: January 23, A viral video of a child being abused at the Nabi Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust in Alamabad (Swabi) has sparked outrage and prompted immediate action from authorities. Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Qasim Ali Shah and Director Social Welfare Rafiq Mehmood instructed Deputy Commissioner Swabi, Nasrullah Khan, to launch an inquiry.
District Welfare Officer Zafar Khan visited the orphanage and found evidence of abuse, leading to an FIR under the Child Protection Act against Manager Nauman and Warden Ismail. Acting swiftly, the Chota Lahor police, under DSP Fazal Sher Khan, arrested both suspects. Investigations continue to ensure justice and prevent future incidents.
