January 22, 2025: A one-day seminar on Skill Needs for Economic Development of Balochistan was held at the Mir Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri Auditorium (PCTVI) , Gwadar University . Organized by PCTVI and Gwadar Port Authority, the event brought together experts, policymakers, and students to discuss economic opportunities and challenges in Balochistan.Keynote speaker Dr. Kaiser Bengali, an eminent economist, highlighted the province’s potential and the need for strategic planning to address challenges like infrastructure gaps and human resource development.The seminar was attended by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, along with various departmental officials and university students. Prof. Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Gwadar and Executive Director of PCTVI, stressed the importance of technical and vocational education for empowering youth and driving sustainable development.The event concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, allowing participants to interact with the speakers and explore actionable solutions for Balochistan’s economic growth.This seminar reaffirmed the commitment to education and collaboration as vital tools for harnessing Balochistan’s economic potential.
