Shakeel Qadir Khan maintains provincial Govt. taking concrete steps to make Rozgar Programme effective
QUETTA: The Balochistan Government is set to launch Qaumi Rozgar Programme for provision of employment to the unemployed youth of the province.
Under the Rozgar Programme, around 215,000 new jobs would be created in the public and private sectors.
The provincial government has started concrete measures to make the Rozgar Programme effective, and in this regard, all the departments have been directed.
This was stated by the Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan while chairing a meeting about provision of better opportunities for employments to youth of the province, here on Friday.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Secretary directed to all departments to start work on the programme on emergent basis, and he would personally monitor it.
He said that the provision of employment to the people is one of the most important responsibilities of provincial government.
He said that the process of economic development is continued in the province, as a result of which opportunities of employment are being created.
He said that enabling people after imparting them skills is also an effective source to tackle the challenge of unemployment.
He said that all the concerned secretaries have been directed to tap opportunities of employment for youth in their respective departments.
Among then, the Energy Department would create 5000 jobs, Minerals would generate 30,000 with Microfinance to create 40,000, Industries to create 20,000 and IT to generate 40,000 vacancies.
There are many other departments in the province, which can create job opportunities for the jobless people, he added.
It may be mentioned here that it is for the first time that government is determined to provide jobs to youth of the province under leadership of Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Chief Secretary.
