UNICEF Aid Scandal Unfolds in South Waziristan Upper
South Waziristan. January 24. A shocking revelation has emerged from South Waziristan, where hundreds of UNICEF hygiene kits, intended for victims of conflict, have been secretly stored in a private warehouse in Tank district. Sources claim that these kits are being smuggled out of the warehouse under the cover of darkness and sold in local markets.
According to insiders, the aid materials were originally meant for the affected population of South Waziristan, but were instead diverted to private hotels, where they were loaded onto trucks and transported out of the district.
The Youth Committee of South Waziristan has condemned the scandal, accusing the district administration of embezzling relief funds meant for the war-torn population. The committee’s spokesperson demanded immediate action against the officials involved, calling for their suspension and punishment.
The spokesperson further urged the authorities to take notice of the scandal and ensure that those responsible are held accountable. The Youth Committee has also demanded the expulsion of NGOs involved in the scandal from South Waziristan. The Youth Committee has appealed to
Secretary PDMA, Director General PDMA , Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan and Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan to take immediate notice of the scandal
