Pharmacy digitalization unavoidable for availability, supply and record management of medicines: Kakar

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Health, Bakht Muhammad Kakar has stressed that digitalization of pharmacies of the public sector hospitals is unavoidable for ensuring availability, distribution and record management of the medicines there.
The Provincial Minister said that the digitalization of pharmacies would not only ensure provision of quality medicines to the poor and deserving patients well in time, but it would also help prevent their theft and wastage.
He was chairing an important meeting of the pharmacy digitalization system in the public sector hospitals, here on Saturday.
The Medical Superintendents, Chief Executive Officers of the hospitals including Bolan Medical Complex Hospital, Sandeman Provincial Headquarter Hospital, Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Helper Eye Hospital, Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital, Mufti Mehmood Memorial Hospital were in attendance.
Addressing the meeting, Minister Health said that pharmacy digitalization is need of the hour.
He said that the timely provision of quality medicines to the poor patients can be ensured through this initiative.
The Minister Health directed to the concerned high ups to prepare effective strategy for implementation on the system.
