“Self-accountability is the best accountability”: NAB’s session at Turbat Law College: Speakers call for mass awareness for eradication of corruption
QUETTA: The speakers at the awareness session on anti-corruption in Turbat have called for creating mass awareness among general public especially youth for eradication of corruption and corrupt practices in the society.
They said that it is need of the hour to fight corruption and corrupt practices by all segments of the society together, as it is key to development.
They stressed that particularly it is duty of the youth to challenge and fight corruption.
The speakers were addressing the awareness session arranged by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Gwadar at the Law College Turbat the other day.
The Vice Chancellor of Turbat University, Professor Dr. Gul Hasan Baloc, Director NAB Gwadar, Haroon Rasheed and NAB Prosecutor, Khalid Hussain and others addressed the session.
The Dean Faculty of Law Muhammad Muzaffar, Director Public Relations, Ejaz Ahmed, members of the faculty, academicians and students were also present.
Addressing the session, Vice Chancellor of Turbat University appreciated the role of NAB for eradication of corruption from the society.
He on the occasion announced that the NAB laws would be included in the curriculum of Law College Turbat. He also expressed the desire of holding similar sessions in future as well.
Earlier, Director NAB, Haroon Rasheed said that the NAB has been playing important role for prevention of corruption in the province and country.
He said that the main objective of NAB is to ensure transparency in the affairs and development projects being executed for general public welfare. He observed that self-accountability is the best accountability.
The NAB Prosecutor said that it is our collective responsibility to fight against corruption in the society, as it (corruption) halts the progress.
He stressed that all segments of the society especially youngsters have to play their part for making the society corruption free.
