Commissioner Quetta Division Hamza Shafqaat Cracks Down on Illegal Gas Cylinder Refilling

Quetta: Jan. 27. Commissioner Quetta Division, Hamza Shafqaat, has ordered the district administration to take action against shopkeepers involved in illegal refilling of gas cylinders. The move comes after several incidents of gas cylinder explosions were reported in residential areas of Quetta, posing a significant threat to human life.

As part of the crackdown, several shops were sealed in various areas of Quetta, including Jan Muhammad Road and Kucha Sher Muhammad Road. The commissioner warned that any shopkeeper found violating the rules would face strict action, including sealing of their premises.

Shafqaat emphasized that the illegal refilling of gas cylinders using compressors and hand pumps is a serious threat to human life and would not be tolerated. He directed the district administration to ensure strict enforcement of the rules and regulations to prevent such incidents in the future ¹.
