Peshawar: January 28. A meeting regarding the Bada Dam project in Swabi district was held here on Tuesday with Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Transport, Haji Rangez Ahmad in the chair. Secretary Irrigation Muhammad Ayaz and other senior officers from the Irrigation Department attended the meeting.

The meeting thoroughly discussed the matter of compensating the landowners affected by the construction of the Bada Dam and ensuring the provision of electricity to the people of the area.

The Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Transport stressed the need for planting trees in the surrounding areas of the dam as well as carrying out repair of the roads to promote tourism in the region. He further directed that the project should include provisions for clean drinking water, as well as water for agricultural and irrigation purposes, to make it more beneficial for the local population.
