BALOCHISTAN FOOD AUTHORITY CRACKS DOWN ON SUBSTANDARD FOOD OUTLETS
Quetta, Jan. 28: The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has intensified its operations against substandard food preparation and sale. In a recent crackdown, a “shingar” factory was sealed, and 23 eateries, including meat shops and bakeries, were fined for violating health and hygiene standards.
According to the BFA spokesperson, a special task force raided a shingar factory in the Pastoonabad area, finding substandard ingredients, including non-food grade colors, rancid cooking oil, and spoiled flour. The factory was sealed, and all substandard items were confiscated.
The BFA spokesperson stated that the authority is closely monitoring various stages of food preparation and delivery to ensure public health safety. The authority will not compromise on public health and will continue to take action against those involved in substandard food preparation.
The BFA has appealed to the public to report any substandard or suspicious food items, enabling the authority to take prompt and strict legal action against health-threatening elements.
