Karachi/SangharJanuary 28: In a tragic incident within the jurisdiction of Chotiariyon Police Station an area of District Sanghar, three individuals lost their lives, and more than 20 sustained injuries after an armed attack. The grieving families have been staging a sit-in for three days, keeping the victims’ bodies on the road, demanding the registration of an FIR against PPP MNA Allauddin Junejo and others.

PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh, accompanied by senior PTI leaders, including Mushtaq Junejo (President of Shaheed Benazirabad Division), Advocate Faisal Mughal (Hyderabad Division President), and other party members, visited Sanghar to express solidarity with the protestors.

During the protest, Haleem Adil Sheikh listened to the victims’ accounts and assured them of all possible legal assistance. The women from the affected families claimed that armed men, allegedly acting on the orders of MNA Allauddin Junejo, attacked their village without provocation. They stated that the assault claimed the lives of three individuals and left over 20 injured, including women and children.

Expressing their anguish, the protesters accused the PPP leadership of betrayal. “We voted them into power, but they have done nothing to secure justice. Instead, they visit under the cover of night like thieves, offering no help in registering the FIR,” said one of the grieving family member.

Addressing the media, Haleem Adil Sheikh condemned the incident, calling it a grave injustice. He criticized the police for failing to register an FIR despite three days of protests and accused them of shielding influential figures implicated in the case.

“The Chotiariyon firing incident is deeply saddening. Three bodies have been lying on the road for days, while families, including women and children, continue their protest outside the press club Sanghar. Yet, the police refuse to register an FIR. This negligence demands the resignation of the Sindh IGP, DIG Shaheed Benazirabad, and SSP Sanghar,” Sheikh, he stated.

He further lambasted the PPP government, claiming, “If a wealthy person’s chicken is stolen, the FIR is filed within minutes. But when a poor family is massacred, the police turn a blind eye. This dual justice system is why our leader, Imran Khan, fights for true freedom in Pakistan”.

Sheikh vowed to escalate the protests from Karachi to Islamabad and raise the issue in the assemblies. He demanded immediate justice for the victims and their families, urging authorities to hold those responsible accountable.

“Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto must answer for this barbarity. Do these so-called representatives have a license to kill? How can they sleep while three bodies lie unburied on Sanghar’s streets? The people of Sindh must awaken to the PPP’s tyranny,” Sheikh emphasized.

He concluded by calling out the Sindh police for their complicity, stating, “The police have become servants of powerful politicians. They must break free from this servitude and fulfill their duty to the people of Sindh.”
