Balochistan’s Advisor on Women Development Congratulates Newly Elected Journalists’ Union Officials
Quetta. 29: Dr. Rubaba Khan Balochi, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on Women Development, has congratulated the newly elected officials of the Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) for the year 2025-26. In a statement, she praised the success of the Journalists’ Panel, saying it reflects the trust and confidence the journalistic community has placed in their leadership and vision ¹.
Dr. Balochi specifically congratulated Khalil Ahmed (President), Manzoor Ahmed (Senior Vice President), Abdul Ghani Kakar (General Secretary), Nazar Baloch (Vice President), Jabbar Baloch (Finance Secretary), Abrar Ahmed (Senior Joint Secretary), Fazal Tawab (Joint Secretary), and other successful members of the executive council.
She expressed hope that the newly elected leadership will play a vital role in promoting responsible journalism, protecting journalists’ rights, and bringing positive change in Balochistan. Dr. Balochi also highlighted the importance of women journalists’ participation in the field, saying it’s a positive step. She emphasized that the new leadership should ensure the resolution of women journalists’ issues and provide better opportunities for them.
The Advisor also assured that the Government of Balochistan will continue to support the protection of press freedom and the welfare of journalists. She appreciated the Election Committee and BUJ members for conducting transparent and organized elections. Dr. Balochi stressed that a strong, impartial, and progressive journalism is the need of the hour in Balochistan, and she expects the newly elected leadership to play a significant role in this regard.
