Chancellor SSUET Jawaid Anwar announced increase in the salaries of employees from Grade 1 to Grade 4
Salaries from Grade 5 and above will be increased in the next phase.

Karachi, January 29, 2025 – The Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET), Jawaid Anwar has announced increase in the salaries of low-paid employees. Employees are the backbone of the institution. Without their participation, the development and success of the institution is not possible, therefore, it is very important to facilitate them to bring out quality work and excellent performance.

Chancellor Jawaid Anwar said that this step is a reflection of our positive thinking and this is just the beginning. We have also increased the salaries of PhD faculty to improve the quality of education. We will continue to make employee-friendly policies in the future as well. In April last year, the salaries of all staff were increased. He reminded that in the past, even during the Corona period, when organizations were firing employees or cutting their salaries, the employees of Sir Syed University were neither fired nor their salaries were reduced. This gracious effort has been recognized and appreciated at all levels.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Munawar Hussain said that Sir Syed University always tried to address employees ‘issues on priority basis. The purpose of this salary enhancement is to acknowledge the hard work of employees because only a happy employee can perform better. Right now, we have increased the salaries of employees from Grade 01 to Grade 04, while in the next phase; the salaries of the remaining grades ‘employees will also be increased.

Registrar Cdre. (R) Syed Sarfraz Ali said that this increase in salaries is an attempt to bring positive change in the lives of the employees. The success of Sir Syed University is the result of the hard work of its staff and the salary enhancement will help in further improving their performance.
