Bugti speaks heart out in PM-led meeting on law & order: Well organized conspiracies being hatches against Pak; we need to be vigilant, Chief Minister
QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has categorically stated that well-organized conspiracies are being hatched against Pakistan, and as such we need to be vigilant under the given circumstances.
He asserted that we are ready for talks, but the violent way is not tolerable at all. He said that we can’t allow violence, if anyone don’t want to speak to us.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the meeting on law and order situation in Balochistan, chaired by the Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here at the CM’s secretariat on Monday.
The Chief Minister expressed views on the security situation and development process in Balochistan.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Federal Minister Information, Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister Energy, Awais Leghani, MNA Jamal Shah Kakar, Senator Agha Shahzaib Durrani, provincial Ministers Mir Zahoor Buledi, Mir Saleem Khosa, and other federal and provincial high ups were in attendance at the meeting.
During the course of meeting, important matters about country’s stability, law and order situation, development projects and government’s writ in the province were discussed.
The Chief Secretary briefed the meeting about the security challenges and other matters related to the province.
While speaking at the meeting, Chief Minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over sorrowful incident occurred in Kalat.
He said that we share the grief with the bereaved families and asserted that those involved in the incident would not be spared.
He also shed lights on the government’s initiatives for the ongoing law and order and stability in Balochistan.
He said that the solution to the issues can be found out through dialogue, but if anyone is not ready for talks, and is challenging the state’s writ, then violence can’t be allowed anyway.
He made it clear that the writ of state would be maintained at every cost and no one would be allowed to create lawlessness in the province.
The Chief Minister also said that for the first time, recruitments were made in health and education departments purely on merit.
He said that it happened for the first time that no job was sold out in the province.
While speaking on the regional and international situation, Chief Minister said that enemy is fighting on three different fronts, and we have to counter it.
He said that some elements are adopting the course of violence through gun and conspiring to spread hatred against the state.
He also highlighted the issue of negative mind making of youth through social media, and said that the enemy forces are attempting to mislead the youth using modern means of communications.
However, the government and state institutions are well aware of these challenges and as such would compete them wholeheartedly.
While highlighting the measures for restoration of peace in the province, Chief Minister said that the government is taking measures seriously in this regard.
All the resources are being mobilized for bringing peace and stability in the province, he maintained.
He thanked the Prime Minister for showing complete solidarity and making assurance of cooperation to the provincial government.
He said that the targets of development and stability would be achieved through harmonization between the federal and provincial government.
